The dramatic true story of Amy Johnson, the first woman ever to go solo in an aircraft on May 5th, 1930. Awarded the CBE by the King, her happiness is almost complete until her divorce from her husband, Jim Mollison. Many years pass until they see each other again. World War Two and their attempt at a reconciliation is cut short when Amy leaves on a flight that was to be her last.
